2016 Utah EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Construction

EY announces Highmark School Development’s CEO Glenn Hileman named EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2016 Construction category award winner in the Utah Region

 


Salt Lake City, UT: June 7, 2016 – EY announced that Glenn Hileman, CEO of Highmark School Development, received the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2016 Award in the Construction category in the Utah Region.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® Award program. The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Glenn was selected by an independent panel of judges, and the award was presented at a special gala event at The Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 4, 2016.

Highmark School Development is the leading independent turnkey facility developer for charter schools in the country, operating in 16 states serving over 30,000 students. The firm develops facility solutions for start-up charter schools, operational schools, and multiple-site charter school management companies. It also develops properties for select private school operators.

In his acceptance speech at the black tie event, Glenn expressed his appreciation for several of Highmark’s key relationships including EPR Properties (NYSE: EPRKC) and Stephens Capital Partners. He also thanked his management team: “I have the greatest team of associates, and I’m so grateful for their sacrifice and commitment to the company.” And he concluded with a look forward: “I’m grateful to Ernst and Young; I’m excited for this recognition and especially grateful for the opportunity that it will help take Highmark to even greater heights.”

As a Utah Region award winner, Glenn is now eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2016 national program.

Since 1986, EY has honored entrepreneurs whose ingenuity, spirit of innovation and discipline have propelled their companies’ success, invigorated their industries, and benefited their communities. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Overall Award winner, will be announced at the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Awards gala in Palm Springs, California, on November 19, 2016. The US Entrepreneur Of The Year Overall Award winner then moves on to compete for the World Entrepreneur Of The Year Award in Monaco, June 2017.
