Phoenix Academy opened their doors December 1999 in High Point, North Carolina to students in grades K-5. Phoenix has adapted the philosophy that a child’s foundation for a lifetime of learning is built in their first three years. At Phoenix the focus is on the individual student. The program challenges the minds of their youngest students by focusing on the individual needs. With the smaller classrooms, students thrive as they build a solid foundation for life. Students practice their skills in small groups and with the one-on-one attention that each and every student deserves. Smaller groups also lend themselves to better communication in the classroom environment. Students are more willing to ask questions and express themselves. In addition to math, reading, science, social studies, language arts and spelling, the school offers art, music, character and physical education, library, foreign language and technology.
HighMark will help to develop the Phoenix high school campus for the 2015-2016 school year. The campus will sit on 45 acres of land on Clinard Farms Road. This is approximately one mile from the K-8 campuses. The elementary and middle school facilities are not included in this credit; however information is included in the facilities section.
