The Mission of Pacific Heritage Academy is to use the power of education, the endurance of language and culture and the virtue of relationships and community to help young people on voyages of discovery. Through thoughtful inquiry, challenging curricula, rigorous requirements and compassionate service, students learn who they are and what they can become. We create learning experiences and students find their Roots… and their Wings.
We are a public charter school.
- There is no tuition and no screening. All students are accepted.
Our main focus is Expeditionary Learning.
- Expeditionary Learning wiill drive our curriculum. Expeditions are in-depth investigations of important questions and subjects that mirror real life challenges. Each school year students will have the opportunity to be engaged in three expeditions that will be closely based on the state standards and be taught across the disciplines; i.e., math, English language arts, science, music, etc. will be integrated into the expedition. We will be located in Salt Lake.
- We will be located in the Glendale area of Salt Lake.
We will serve grades K-8.
- Each grade will have two classes and serve 25 students per class for a total of 450 students.
Students will be randomly selected for enrollment.
- A lottery system will be used to randomly select 50 students for each grade if we exceed 450 students.
